Avalon Vineyards is a boutique winery overlooking Mount Buffalo. Established in 1981, Doug Groom (the winemaker) strives to make the best handcrafted wines, his Shiraz highly recommended by 'Winewise' magazine for the last three vintages, together with his Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, (both sparkling and red wine), Rosado (rosé), Sangiovese, Merlot and late harvest Semillon.
