- Since 1965 –
Pralibel, better known under its own brand Château Blanc, has been specializing since 1965 in hand-made pralines and chocolate figures. Since its foundation, Pralibel is proud of offering chocolate of the highest quality at prices everyone can afford. To have everyone enjoy the taste of real chocolate, that is Pralibel’s highest motivation.
The reputation and quality of Château Blanc made sure that the brand was quickly known on an international level. In 2004 pralines of Pralibel are for sale all over the world.
- Flexibility, Quality and Fair Trade –
Exports to France and the United Kingdom resulted in a steadily growing turnover. This was loyally re-invested in new machinery, so that the production department very quickly came apart at the seams. In August 1999 a new plant, measuring 2000m2, was inaugurated. While other chocolate producers use full-automatic lines, Pralibel has opted for ultramodern stand-alone machines, each of them assuming part of the production process.
Hence, the Château Blanc pralines are still made in a semi-artisan way. This way of working also allows Pralibel to comply with any specific requirements from its customers, always keeping in mind the price-quality ratio.
The quality of our products is also guaranteed by the fact that only real chocolate is used. We do not allow for any fats other than cacao butter to be added to the chocolate, because in our opinion this would damage the quality of the end product. Furthermore, we avoid any materials containing GMO ingredients (Genetically Modified Organisms). An entirely new market for Pralibel are the pralines with Fairtrade chocolate. This is chocolate the ingredients of which constitute materials for which the farmers receive a higher and fairer price. This way, Pralibel intends to stimulate fair trade.
- Safety - HACCP -
Because of the specifically traditional and especially artisan way of working, our highly qualified employees are of the utmost importance. Apart from observing the production procedures, they are to comply with the safety requirements and the hygiene regulations. That we are serious about this, results from the fact that we obtained the HACCP certificate in 2002, ensuring a perfect hygiene and safety, granted by Lloyd’s. In order to face the explosive growth in orders, the company was again expanded, so that Pralibel’s working area in 2004 amounted to 5000m2. Also the number of employees has steadily increased, from 10 in 1994 up to ± 50 in 2004.
Pralibel believes that chocolate products still offer enormous opportunities for growth, in spite of the fact that food markets are known for their conservatism. Chocolate products have the unique talent to delight our taste and smell and to overwhelm our mind. The products that are made by Pralibel, try to play an important role in this respect.
