High performance fans and vacuum generators
AOA has developed and manufactured high performance fans for 20 years. The product range comprises axial, radial and mixed-flow types driven by AC, DC and electronic control speed motors, e.g. for cabin air-conditioning, cargo hold, galley and lavatory ventilation in all Airbus types; vacuum generators for the vacuum waste system in the Airbus and other programmes; avionic cooling fans for the Eurofighter 2000 as well as fans and fan heaters for helicopters.
Sensor systems
Besides smoke detectors, AOA develops and manufactures temperature and pressure transducers, e.g. measuring amplifiers for the Eurofighter 2000; brake flap position indicators and servo-pneumatic altimeters for Panavia. Smoke detectors are installed in the Airbus A300-600/A310 and the Do 328.
Fuel pumps
AOA develops and manufactures a large range of fuel pumps, including centrifugal, positive displacement and jet pumps using e. g. brushless DC and electrical AC motors. AOA fuel pumps are installed in the MRCA Tornado, EF 2000, F104, C-160 Transall, Alpha Jet, Do 228 and Do 328, and in Bell UH-1D, PAH-1 and NH90 helicopters.
Process controllers
AOA develops and manufactures various types of process controllers, in particular the complete system electronics for the vacuum waste system of the Airbus A319/A320/ A321 and A330/A340, as well as digital temperature controllers. In addition AOA supplies the Data Management Unit (DMU) for the Airbus A330/A340.
New materials, variable speed drives, optical sensors including intelligent interfaces, intelligent fans and fuel pumps.
