Fosfluridine is the Enhanced Pro-Drug currently under phase II clinical investigation for once daily oral treatment of actinic keratosis. The Enhanced Pro-Drug under development for HIV/AIDS is fosalvudine with the potential of being highly active in patients who are resistant to standard nucleoside drug therapy.
