Elégance was founded during the 1930s as a design company for couture fabric collections. During the 1950s and 1960s the establishment of subsidiaries in France, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Sweden, Belgium, USA and Canada followed. During the same time Elégance entered the Japanese market, too.
The first Elégance ready-to-wear collection was launched to the market during the 1970s and during the 1980s first high-level licences were granted in the Asian region. Further subsidiaries in Great Britain and Japan got founded during the 1990s as well as the first Elégance boutiques with especially designed shop concept opened their doors. Today, Elégance is represented in more than 50 countries worldwide. Especially the last couple of years were marked with expansion, e.g. through openings in Moscow, Tallinn, Warsaw, Zurich, Bucharest, Karlovy Vary, Prague and Beijing.
The Elégance ready-to-wear collections are designed by our own designers and target the self-confident and ambitious lady, from mid-thirties upwards, seeking luxury and individuality.
Elégance stands for a timeless and elegant fashion. Our philosophy is to accompany the woman throughout the whole day: an engagement with friends, a shopping trip, business meetings, and a cocktail party or during her holidays. All of these occasions are covered by our product lines: Prestige, Gala, Femme, Weekend & Accessories.
