The name of the designer brand is inseparably linked with that of the designer and entrepreneur Daniel Hechter. In 1962 he founded a fashion house in Paris with the stated goal of offering wearable yet high-quality, creative fashion for a wide range of consumer groups. Over time he expanded his company, developing it into an international label.
Today, the designer brand Daniel Hechter encompasses seven different collections. Miltenberger Otto Aulbach GmbH acquired the company in 1998.
The new owners have consistently further developed the Daniel Hechter brand through restructuring of the collections, and their efforts have been greeted with ever-widening international success. Fashion from Daniel Hechter stands for a lifestyle feeling combining European tradition with a sure sense of style and sporty chic with elegance.
