Product & Service Saudi Basic Industries Corporation(SABIC) is the largest public company in the Middle East, ranked by market capitalization(more than US $ 150 billion), and one of the world's 10 largest petrochemicals manufacturers.

The company is among the world's market leaders in the production of polyethylene, polypropylene, glycols, methanol, MTBE and fertilizers as well as the fourth largest polymer producer.

SABIC has two large production sites in Saudi Arabia-in Al-Jubail and in Yanbu-comprising 18 world-scale complexes.

SABIC produces two major polyolefin derivatives - polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP).The polyethylene product range includes all of the commodity thermo-polymers; linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), low density polyethylene (LDPE) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE). The polypropylene product range includes random, homo-polymers, copolymers and specialty automotive grades.

Overall, SABIC provides the world's most comprehensive portfolio of polymer resins from a single producer-supplier. It is one of the very few companies to manufacture all five of the most widely used thermoplastic resins.

In 1985, SABIC opened its first office in Asia in Hong Kong. Subsequently, SABIC opened its Asia Pacific HQ in Singapore in 2000. SABIC also has offices in Shanghai, Tokyo, Taipei, Seoul, and Manila to better serve its customers in Asia.

In 2005, SABIC achieved 46.7 million metric tons of production and total sales stood at 36.6 million metric tons. Net profit for the year stood at US $5.1 billion, the highest ever profit earned since its inception.
